James Burcke Head of Communications Jim Burcke received BS and MS degrees from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois. He worked at daily newspapers in Michigan and Kentucky before joining Business Insurance, a weekly magazine based in Chicago which covers worldwide insurance markets. He was appointed editor in 1991. He moved to London in July 1994 and was appointed editorial director and subsequently managing director of Reactions Publishing Group, a subsidiary of Euromoney Publications plc. In 1996 Jim became head of communications at Equitas Limited, the company running off the pre-1993 liabilities of Lloyd's syndicates. Jim joined Catlin in February 2003. | |||||||||
