General Liability

The Catlin Syndicate's General Liability team writes a global third party liability account for a very broad base of insureds . The book includes UK, international and US accounts, ranging in size from Fortune 500 businesses to small local firms.

Various types of liability insurance are written within this class.  The majority of the book is public and products liability insurance, which includes construction liability and product recall.

We also offer more specific coverages in certain niche areas such as a global rail account, a US trucking liability account, generic pharmaceutical risks and terrorism liability risks in conjunction with Catlin's terrorism insurance team.

The account is growing in size and reach. Currently, the bulk of the book is written from Lloyd's by a team of underwriters and assistants, but Catlin General Liability underwriters are also based in Singapore, Sydney, Hong Kong, Toronto, Paris, Calgary, Zurich, Barcelona, Cologne, Vienna and the UK regional offices.

Catlin's General Liability book expects its geographical reach and distribution network to continue to increase as it reacts to the opportunities and challenges presented by insureds and brokers to give unrivalled access to Catlin underwriters.
