Business Group Leader-War & Political Risk

After graduating from Loughborough University in 1995, Chris joined the Corporation of Lloyd's where he worked in the Regulatory Division as a syndicate reviewer. Chris joined Catlin in January 1998, as an underwriting assistant where, after progressing within the Marine Group, he was promoted in 2003 to class underwriter for the war and political risk account.

Senior Underwriter

Navaid joined Catlin in March 2008 as a senior class underwriter from Zurich Financial Solutions, where he led their political and trade credit risk team in London. Prior to Zurich, Navaid was an associate director at Standard & Poor's, where he worked as a sovereign credit credit analyst for three years. Navaid joined Standard & Poor's after having finished his MBA and Master's in International Relations at Yale. Navaid also holds a Master's of Economics from the University of Western Ontario.

Underwriter

Will Steeds joined the Lloyds Graduate Scheme in 1997 before moving on to become a political risk underwriter at DP Mann Syndicate in 1999. He moved to SVB in 2004 before joining Catlin Bermuda in 2005. He is a graduate of King's College London in War Studies. Will returned to the London office in July 2007.
