Catlin underwriters can offer quotes for primary general liability; either mono-line or combined with an excess cover. Catlin US products are offered on a non-admitted basis and are distributed exclusively through licensed, appointed surplus lines wholesale brokers.

Prohibited Classes
- Construction subcontractors (limited appetite)
- Residential contractors (except on a wrap up or project policy basis as specified above)
- Aircraft products/parts
- Bridge/tunnel/dam/highway contractors
- Animal feed manufacturing/mixing/blending
- Tobacco and tobacco-related products
- Utility operations
- Pollution/environmental/energy-related business
- Pharmaceutical/nutraceutical manufacturers
- Go-cart/trampoline manufacturers
Required for Submission
- Completed application with supplemental questionnaires
- Minimum of five years loss experience
Limits
- Up to $5,000,000. (Primary General Liability)
- Up to $10,000,000. (Commercial Umbrella Liability and Follow Form Excess)
- Up to $11,000,000. (All coverage combined on any single account)
Program Parameters
- Primary and excess coverage available
- Minimum deductible: $5,000.
- Minimum Self-Insured Retention: $10,000.
- Minimum premium: General Liability $25,000. (Except for New York and California) Umbrella and Follow Form Excess $10,000.
- Product offerings are underwritten through the following companies: Catlin Specialty Insurance Co., Catlin Insurance Company UK, and the Catlin Syndicate. All Catlin Group companies have been assigned a Best rating of “A” (Excellent) XIII. The Catlin Syndicate is rated “A” (Excellent) XV.
