After commencing in 1999, the International Casualty book is one of London’s largest lead markets. The book is made up of a global portfolio of primary and excess accounts ranging from the largest Fortune 500 Companies down to the smallest individual shops and office risks.
In addition to the London team of underwriters, the account has dedicated Underwriters in Sydney, Toronto and Singapore which have been set up in the last two years to develop the local markets.
The book is made up of both open market and binder business, with the binders generally targeting niche business areas that do not overlap the open market business.
London brokers access the London underwriters on an appointment basis on the trading floor and on an open house basis in Lloyd’s each afternoon.
