Catlin is a leading London market Property insurer and has been writing the UK and European Property account since 2000.

The account is principally written on a binding authority basis generally through London market brokers and UK/European based cover holders. The underwriting in London is done almost exclusively in Lloyd’s. Our UK regional account is underwritten in our local offices in Glasgow, Tonbridge, Leeds and the Midlands.

We provide cover to retail, wholesale and manufacturing commercial businesses for physical loss or damage to Material Damage and Business Interruption.

A typical package will include cover for Public/Products Liability, Employers’ Liability, Money, Goods in Transit, Glass, Frozen Food, Theft by Employee and Loss of Licence.

Senior Underwriter

Colin began his insurance career in 1986 with the UK/international property team of Lloyd's syndicate 322, R D Robertson and Others. He became responsible for the syndicate's UK/Eire account in 1995. Following the syndicate's acquisition by Ace Limited in 1996, he transferred to Ace syndicate 2488 as UK/Eire property underwriter.
In 2001 Colin became responsible for Ace Underwriting Services Limited, the service company for the syndicate. He was appointed commercial insurance manager (UK & Eire) for Ace Europe in 2002. Colin joined Catlin in September 2003.
