Catlin Australia
Catlin Australia was established in 2004 to offer brokers direct access to a wide range of insurance and reinsurance products. Catlin Australia's goal is simple: to enhance brokers’ ability to meet their clients’ needs. We achieve this through a combination of four key elements: specialist knowledge and skills; creative underwriting; autonomous decision-making; and solid financial strength.
As a wholly owned subsidiary of Catlin Group Limited, our underwriters have the same authority as if they were located in the Lloyd’s building – so we can react quickly and flexibly to your needs. That often means developing new products to meet changing requirements – an area in which we are particularly strong.
We underwrite the following classes of business from our Sydney office:
- Aviation
- Casualty Insurance and Reinsurance
- Crisis Management (Product Recall and Kidnap & Ransom)
- Facultative Reinsurance
- General Liability
- Specie (Including Fine Art)
However, any of the more than 30 classes of business underwritten by the Catlin Group can be accessed through Catlin Australia, along with the Catlin Group's global network of expertise.
With Catlin Australia, you enjoy all the advantages of dealing with a local company, and all the benefits of placing coverage directly with Lloyd’s.
The head of Catlin Australia is Andrew Case.
