Satoshi Ichihara
Satoshi Ichihara joined Catlin from Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance Company Ltd, where he was General Manager for Research and External Relations in the Corporate Planning Department and was also General Manager for Research on Natural Catastrophe Risks in Asia in the reinsurance department.
During more than 30 years with Mitsui Sumitomo, he worked in many areas of the business with a specialty in energy and hull accounts. He had active roles for the company in the Japanese Hull Insurers Union along with a number of other trade and governmental advisory bodies.
He was the General Manager of the Mitsui Sumitomo office in Myanmar for three years. At Catlin he is responsible for the facilitation and development of the Group’s relationships in Japan. His appointment demonstrates Catlin’s continuing commitment to the Japanese insurance market.
