A responsible business

Catlin’s strong values don’t stop at the office door.  We take corporate responsibility seriously, and we make our social commitment real through concrete initiatives and activities.  From the landmark Catlin Arctic Survey to the Children’s Wish Foundation, our company supports a wide variety of projects at both Group and regional levels.

Because our people share our values, we’ve found that many of them want to take an active role in our corporate responsibility initiatives.  A company-supported volunteering programme enables Catlin team members to join in community service projects and fund-raising activities.  And by telling us which issues matter to them, our people help to shape our outreach strategy.

Helping the environment

Catlin recognises the importance of growth, as well as the responsibilities that come with it.  So we actively work to improve our own environmental impact through measures such as:

  • carbon offsetting
  • greener offices
  • local schemes such as Cycle to Work.

We also join with others in our industry to support larger efforts such as the ClimateWise project.

Taking our environmental commitment even further, Catlin sponsors the Catlin Arctic Survey.  This critical study will provide scientific data that experts can use to make more reliable conclusions about the impact of climate change and other environmental concerns.  We believe that a better understanding of the substantial risks associated with these issues will enable the insurance industry to serve future needs more effectively—benefiting not only our clients, but the world at large.

Caring about people
