Since its launch, the Catlin Development Programme (CDP) has proved very successful in attracting high calibre participants. This year, for the first time, the programme is global with 21 graduates joining from Bermuda, US, Canada, Europe and Asia, as well as the UK. All graduates started the first phase of their formal development in the London office on 17 September.
The CDP is a structured and intensive two year programme. It comprises a mix of formal technical and personal development and on the job learning, with cross function and department business rotations and study for relevant professional qualifications.
Paul Jardine, Chief Operating Officer, says "The Catlin Development Programme allows us to expand our pool of talented individuals, by recruiting participants from both outside and within the organisation.
“The company has grown significantly since its creation 27 years ago. The skills and commitment of its people have been central to that success and will continue to be so in the future.
“Making sure that we have the right blend of knowledge and skills across the business in all areas, is critical. The CDP is an important part of that.”
Commenting on the success of the CDP, Paul Jardine goes on to say: “Our graduate recruitment has within a relatively few years proven to be a very valuable source of talent. The programme we’ve developed is leading edge within our industry.
“So, I am delighted to welcome this year’s participants. I wish them luck as they embark on their individual programmes.”
Recruitment for the 2013 Catlin Development Programme begins in the autumn.
