Broker of the month

Berkshire-based BJP Insurance Brokers have been toasting their success after being named Catlin’s September Broker of the Month for their focused approach to Catlincargo.com.

BJP generated hundreds of quotes using the Catlincargo.com platform during 2011. This has enabled them to offer their clients a wider range of Catlin products.

The company, which employs 53 staff, has been trading since 1997, specialising predominantly in a range of commercial products, including marine, construction, IT, wholesale and manufacturing.

Having developed a strong working relationship with Catlin, including the development of a BJP white label scheme and ongoing support, BJP has increased its business significantly.

This has been most noticeable in the Marine sector, driven by increasing numbers of people emigrating from the UK requiring cover for their belongings.

According to BJP Senior Marine sales executive Rachel Fowler, it is the extremely strong working relationship with Catlin’s Guy Brett that has been the foundation for the Broker of the Month award.

“We are delighted to have been named as Catlin’s Broker of the month. The relationship with Catlin is an extremely strong one. Guy Brett is central to that, helping develop the white label scheme, going out with us to meet clients and providing the type of ongoing support that has really benefited us.

“As a result we have increased the level of Cargo business in the Marine division and also been able to introduce our commercial clients to a wider range of Catlin products, which again has been really beneficial.

“In particular, with more people than ever emigrating and needing cover for their belongings while in transit, we have generated an increasing amount of cargo cover, which is perfect for them," said Rachel.

BJP were presented with a bottle of champagne to mark their achievement as Broker of the Month for September 2011.
