Double win at 2011 Underwriting Service Awards
Catlin UK is pleased to announce that it has won two Underwriting Service of the Year awards, picking up Marine & Transport Underwriting Team of the Year and Underwriting Team of The Year 2011.
The awards are run by insurance publication The Post. Now in its second year, the Underwriting Service of the Year Awards ceremony brings together the UK general insurance underwriting community to celebrate the best of the best, based on both technical and service criteria.
These awards are unique in one key area. They are based not on insurer submissions judged by a panel, but on large-scale objective input from UK commercial broking professionals, submitted through The Post's annual Business Insurers Insight Study and accompanying line-specific studies.
Dan Martin, regional property manager, says that just being nominated is an achievement in itself: ‘The Post arrived at the shortlist following a poll of over 1300 brokers. It’s one of those awards based on direct feedback and input from customers. So winning an award would be a notable achievement, but having the support of our customers is even better!’
According to event host, Art Gould, all of the shortlisted underwriting teams should feel proud, ‘as they have already proved themselves to be in the top 20% - as far as brokers are concerned – in their specific lines of business’.
