Careers FAQs
Our FAQs represent a collection of queries that we get asked on a regular basis. If you have a query that isn’t listed here, please send us an email.
Q: Where can I find out about current vacancies?
A: To find out more about our current vacancies please send a copy of your CV to your regional careers contact. If your skills and experience match any of our current opportunities, we will contact you to discuss these in more detail.
Q: Do you have a graduate programme? A: Yes we do. Please visit
Catlin.com/graduate for more information and to apply.
Q: If I am not successful can I apply again?
A: Absolutely. All we ask is that you consider the feedback given to you when you originally applied before deciding if it is appropriate for you to reapply.
Q: What can I do if there is currently nothing suitable for me?
A: If we are unable to match your skills and experience to our current opportunities but feel that we may have something for you in the future, we will inform you of this and retain your CV for future reference.
In compliance with the Data Protection Act we are only able to retain your CV for a period of 3 months. If you are still interested in opportunities with us after this time, please contact us and let us know.
Q: How do I find out the status of my application?
A: Our careers teams will do all that they can to keep you updated as to the status of your application. Should you need to contact them, please email your regional careers contact.
Q: What qualifications do I need to apply for a role at Catlin?
A: The qualifications required for our roles vary according to the vacancy. Where we advertise a role, the qualifications required will be clearly stated.
Q: Do I need insurance industry experience to apply for a position at Catlin?
A: This very much depends upon the role for which you are applying. As you would expect, for some of our roles this will be essential, whilst for others, especially at a more junior level or in our support functions, insurance industry experience is less important than the skill set you bring with you.
Q: Do you offer work experience or interim opportunities?
A: We are able to offer work experience opportunities in the UK to a limited number of individuals. To express your interest in undertaking work experience with us, please send us a copy of your CV along with a covering note describing the type of experience you would like to gain, and we will be in touch to discuss this with you. At the current time, we do not offer a formal internship programme.
Q: Do you accept speculative CVs from employment agencies?
A: I am afraid not. We have a number of employment agencies that, where appropriate, we work with closely to fill our roles.
