Learning & development

We’ve underwritten a few high performers in our time and not all of them have been stars of the track and field. Our graduates receive a great deal of tailored learning and development, along with support to help them achieve their full potential.

Shaping you into a great all-rounder

When you join us, you’ll receive a two week induction to both Catlin and the insurance industry. We’ll provide you with a structured development programme providing you with essential skills and support you through the relevant industry-recognised professional qualifications. We can offer access to resources to help with your continued studies, plus study leave so you can prepare for exams.

Getting out there

Alongside formal programmes, we’ll help your development with on-the-job learning and experience. We’re great believers in letting people grow as they go – or in other words, building knowledge through real life experience. Your role will let you do this, as well as giving you the opportunity to spend time in other areas of the business, perhaps even in one of our global offices.

Support to suit you

Joining a new company can be a bit daunting. So to make things a little easier (and help you settle in quickly) you’ll be allocated a ‘buddy’ – someone who’ll show you the ropes and help you feel at home at Catlin. We’ll also set you up with a business mentor who’ll be there to offer you guidance, share experiences and generally help you progress smoothly in your new career.
