Established in 1984 as a Lloyd’s syndicate, Catlin has grown into a global business, with expert underwriting teams in every major insurance market.

Commercial insurance

We work closely with our brokers and their clients to provide imaginative and effective risk management solutions.

Our product range is extensive and we cover companies and individuals in aviation, healthcare, energy, shipping, fine art, property, construction, events, equine, livestock, agriculture & manufacturing.

We write insurance cover for a multitude of risks, from aeroplanes and yachts to satellites, oilrigs, fine art galleries and racehorses. We also provide small companies with cover for public liability and professional indemnity. It’s a varied and ever expanding portfolio.

Insurance is highly dynamic and our underwriting teams are always looking for new opportunities to meet clients' needs. In the London and UK market, our latest insurance products include Kidnap & Ransom, Piracy, Product Recall and Marine Cargo.

Reinsurance

Reinsurance is insurance taken out by an insurance company to transfer risk. Catlin offers reinsurance on lines of business including Commercial Liability, Property, Energy, Agriculture, Marine, Aviation, Trade Credit and Life.
