So it looks as though Spring has finally arrived, but we're happy to say we've had an interesting first quarter here at Catlin, with the first few UK broker breakfasts under our belts, the release of our financial results for 2011, and the successful launch of a new environmental survey.
March has been all about terrorism at Catlin UK - or at least, terrorism insurance. With the London Olympics fast approaching, the country is turning its attention to security and protecting the nation from the possibility of terrorist attacks. Is it really a possibility? According to Catlin's Class Terrorism Underwriter and the Home Office, yes it is, and companies should be considering whether their insurance cover is right for them.
Elsewhere, Catlin has released its 2011 Annual Report, which makes an interesting read, and in February launched the Catlin Seaview Survey, an expedition beginning at the Great Barrier Reef which seeks to understand the impact of climate change and other environmental factors on oceans and ocean ecosystems.
