Mike has been involved in the insurance market for more than 27 years and has worked both as a broker and an underwriter.
During his 15 years in broking he worked for Leslie & Godwin, Heath and Aon in the London market and was involved in all areas of aviation business. He was a director of the aviation department when he left Aon in 1997.
He joined AIG Aviation the same year where he was responsible for the worldwide non-airline account. Mike joined Catlin in September 2002 in the London office to help establish Catlin's presence in the aviation market and by 2004 had overall responsibility for Catlin's worldwide Aviation portfolio. He was promoted to Business Group Leader of the Aerospace Group in January 2006 which now also includes the Satellite account.
Mike relocated to Calgary in August 2006 to establish a new office for Catlin Canada. In addition to his Global Aviation responsibility which he retained, Mike was responsible for developing all lines of business in Western Canada.
In September 2008 Mike was appointed as President of Catlin Canada with overall responsibility for the development of Catlin's Canadian operation.
